I have been officially placed with the Heidelberg Project, and today was orientation. I will be collaborating with my friend Sharmila and together we will be writing a grant proposal to the Kresge Foundation. During my orientation I watched a 30 Minute documentary called "Come unto me" and it was about the history of the Heidelberg and its founding artist; Tyree Guyton. I was amazed to see the impact that the Heidelberg has had on the city, the community and individuals. I learned so much about the struggles Tyree has endured with the project and pardon the cheesy-ness. . . but it inspired me. I am very much looking forward to working with everyone at the Heidelberg and doing my part to help the Heidelberg Project flourish!
